Janet leads CFSN and also works with individual clients and teaches classes. Her own experience
“After giving birth to three children, all with ADHD and one diagnosed on the Autistic Spectrum, I was faced with many challenges and lacked support from family, schools and physicians. Through trial and error and determination, I used my knowledge and experience as a Fitness Trainer and Owner of a commercial Studio to cope with and overcome the many obstacles of hyperactivity, mood swings, learning difficulties, social inadequacies/rejection and nutritional challenges.”
led her to establish Certified Fitness for Special Needs, a 501(c)(3) company in 2012. CFSN operates alongside Fitness for U providing an inclusive environment where young children and adults with special needs can enhance their quality of life and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Lynn Aloff
Special Needs Coordinator
Lynn has thirty-nine years experience providing services to special needs youths and adults of all abilities. Working in both the public and private sector, Lynn’s philosophy remains the same: Insure that all clients strive to reach their fitness goals and provide a healthy and positive atmosphere for them to be successful.

Walter Blomquist
Fitness Director
Walter has over 20 years training clients and youth competitors in baseball, softball, wrestling and martial arts. He created the Martial Arts for the Special Needs Athlete system. Walter’s programs for CFSN clients build skills, plus increase strength and stamina, but as Walter says, “My aim for our clients is to develop focus, self-sufficiency and greater confidence in their home and social life. ”

Carol Amonica
Administrative Coordinator
Carol handles scheduling, payroll, and everything else. She even leads the occasional group session.

Annie
CFSN Personal Trainer and Coach
Annie is one of our trainers and a certified coach for the Special Olympics Young Athletes program. She has a passion for training the body in a functional and dynamic way. Annie studies Exercise Science and Kinesiology at Rutgers University. Her background includes 8 years of experience in both inpatient and outpatient physical therapy facilities. She’s also worked as a Certified Medical Assistant for an Orthopedic physician.

Robert
CFSN Personal Trainer, Instructor and Coach
Robert is a registered Herbalist, Mindfulness coach, and Yoga instructor. His eclectic, holistic approach to healing the body and mind emerges from over a decade in the alternative medical field. Robert’s competitive athletic history includes playing Division 1 soccer at The University of Massachusetts Amherst. He is also pursuing his degree in professional counseling to become a licensed therapist at TCNJ. Robert also works as a Direct Support Professional for the special needs and helps with community aid.
